Anode NDT Offers Magnetic Particle Inspection in Grande Prairie and Western Canada
There may be surface cracks or deficiencies in your equipment, invisible to the naked eye, that you won’t notice until it’s too late. Detect both manufacturing defects and in-service defects within your equipment before sending it to work: provide a safe work environment for your employees and save incredible sums in advance. Anode NDT technicians hold years of experience in non-destructive testing and can provide you with the recommendations you need.
Magnetic particle inspection is a versatile method of NDT. It is an affordable, compact, easy-to-interpret method to be used on materials such as new welds or castings, or on in-service materials and after treatments such as machining or grinding to ensure no new defects were made.
Though easy to interpret, this form of non-destructive testing is limited to surface or shallow subsurface discontinuities.
Simple and compact, this method of non-destructive testing can go just about anywhere. Find the surface flaws in your equipment quickly and efficiently with magnetic particle inspection.

How it Works
Magnetic particle testing is the process of creating a magnetic field on the surface of a magnetic material and then dusting it with iron particles. The particles are attracted to leaks in the magnetic field, these leaks caused by flaws, like cracks. This method of non-destructive testing will show flaws on the surface and slightly below the surface, otherwise hidden from the human eye.
